Aisha began working with Eric McKenna back in late 2019, when he recruited her from the University Hospital to compose cello accompaniments for his upcoming album, Dry Spell. The recording collaboration evolved into a crashcourse for music composition, applied theory, and improvisation. Shortly after recording cello for the second song on the album, Eric introduced her to the Celtic Jazz band, SYNKOFA, and Aisha performed with them from 2020 - 2023.
Aisha and Eric also perform as a duet from 2019-2023 as part of Ravensfell Music Works, featuring original music they composed together for Dry Spell (release and purchasing info here!) as well as popular covers including "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen (watch here!) and "While My Guitar Gently Weeps". Their sound was a combination of classical, world, and jazz.
